Whether you end on the ground
or lifted, whether your back
is vertical or diagonal
keep in mind that your shoes
point out toward infinity
and so the angle must be right, enough so
that you are the earth's core
giving the ground trajectory
always emanating heat.

Andrew,

good good, but chuck the first line. The poem is based on movement, and that repetition with a period is messing with that. Besides, your second line is stronger :)
